TIZIANO BEDETTI, composer, was born in Rovigo (Italy) in 1976.
He graduated in Piano with Antonio Pulleghini, Composition with Luigi Verdi, Choral Music and Choral Conducting with Mario Pagotto, subsequently graduating with 110 cum laude and obtaining the Second Level Academic Diploma in musical disciplines in compositional address at the State Conservatory of Music “A. Buzzolla” of Adria.

He specialized in Composition with Bruno Coltro (pupil of Gian Francesco Malipiero), Luigi Donorà (pupil of Luigi Dallapiccola), Bruno Bettinelli, Goffredo Petrassi, Alessandro Solbiati, Enrico Pisa, Leonello Capodaglio. He also graduated from the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan with Mauro Bonifacio and from the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena with Azio Corghi. Again, with Azio Corghi, he graduated from the three-year specialization course of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome with 10 out of 10 (diploma issued by the President-Superintendent Luciano Berio).

He studied orchestration with the American composer Jon Ward Bauman.

He has been awarded in national and international composition competitions including:

He received the Jahrespreis 2001 from the STAB Foundation of Zurich (Switzerland) and was awarded at the 2002 “Opera Prima Talenti” competition, organized by Casa Ricordi and the Milan Music Festival.

He obtained the Special Award Out of Competition for High Cultural Merit from the Cultural and Theatrical Association “La Luce dell’Arte” of Rome and the Civic Merit from the City of Adria, as a “composer of clear fame”.

He is a member of the National Union of Composers, Librettists and Authors of Milan and was the Representative for Italy of the European Composer Forum in Vienna.

He was a member of the Evaluation Team, Academic Advisor and coordinator of the Department of Theory, Harmony Analysis, Composition and Orchestra Conducting of the Adria Conservatory.

He is an honorary member of the Adriese Choral Society and has also been part of various competition juries.

He has works for theatre, dance, orchestral, vocal and instrumental music including the ballet Kisetsu No Iro (The Color of the Seasons), Addio alla Danza (dedicated to the memory of Carla Fracci) and the opera-musical Madam Senator, based on a text by the Italian-American playwright Mario Fratti. The patron and esthete Lawrence Dow Lovett commissioned some compositions from him including the Big Apple Concerto for clarinet and orchestra and String Quartet No. 1 “Dance”.

He was inspired by the sculptures of Zurab Tsereteli and collaborated with the painter Alexander Maksovich Shilov, to whom he dedicated some of his works including Paintings from the Shilov Gallery, Landscapes of the Seasons, Shilov Suite, Two Paintings by Alexander Shilov, Childhood Portraits.

In the field of sacred music, he composed Crucifixus dedicated to His Holiness Pope Francis, Salve Regina dedicated to H.R.H. Princess Karina Bagration Moukharansky and Agnus Dei for the Beatification of Father Francesco Maria Jordan, founder of the Order of Salvatorians commissioned by Dominika Zamara.

He taught at the “Bonporti” State Music Conservatories of Trento, “G. Frescobaldi” of Ferrara, “G. Puccini” of La Spezia, “O. Respighi” of Latina, “G. Nicolini” of Piacenza, “G. Verdi” in Milan.

He is a tenured teacher of Theory, Rhythmics and Musical Perception, Ear Training and Semiography at the State Conservatory of Music “A. Buzzolla” of Adria.
